Climate adaptation, at the source
SmartFlow exists because of a climate problem: storms designed for once a century now arrive once a decade, and urban drainage was built for the previous era. Our contribution to sustainability is direct and measurable - manage the runoff where it lands, before it becomes a flood.
Environmental
- Flood-risk reduction at the source: detaining rain on the roof lowers peak loads on urban drainage during extreme events.
- Water reuse: in blue-green configurations, stored rainwater irrigates rooftop vegetation instead of draining away.
- Low-impact by design: mounts on existing drains - no excavation, no concrete, no new underground volume for the capacity it adds.
- Green-building contribution: grants 5.5 points under the Israeli green-building standard.
Social & governance
- Public-safety engineering: fail-safe valve design - open by default on any failure - because drainage safety comes before any feature.
- Data transparency for cities: rain-event reports from measured data support evidence-based municipal planning.
- Honest claims: we publish measured results with their context, and we do not publish numbers we cannot attribute.
